Multifactor mobile ID technology
The Mobile Authentication Taskforce is a collaboration of the four major US wireless providers to build a more secure, multi-factor, identity authentication platform for all.
The taskforce will also work with service-oriented businesses that require high levels of user authentication and verification, to develop the technology and its applications.

The mobile network advantage
Mobile carriers have invested billions of R&D dollars in the networks that people rely on every day. These networks rely on multiple points of unique, verifiable data to connect customers:
- Phone number
- Account tenure
- Phone account type
- SIM card details
- IP address
Mobile carriers can use their data and expertise to build a platform with advanced analytics to make authentication for both businesses and consumers simple, silent, and strong. The platform will only share consumers' data with their consent.
